Helix Preset – Classical Guitar (KNA NG-1)

A versatile Helix preset for nylon-string classical guitar with the KNA NG-1 pickup.
Core tone is natural and warm, with light compression and EQ for polish.
Includes two scenes: Dry Core and Ambient Wet.


Scene 1 – Dry Core

  • Level: Adjust so peaks hit around -12 dB on XR18
  • Drive: Off

3. LA Studio Comp

  • Peak Reduction: 2.5–3.0
  • Gain: 5.0
  • Emphasis: 4.5
  • Mix: 100%
  • Type: LA-2A Gray

4. Low/High Cut EQ

  • Low Cut: 80 Hz
  • High Cut: 12.5 kHz
  • Level: 0.0 dB

5. Simple Delay

  • Time: 350 ms
  • Feedback: 15–20%
  • Mix: 15–20%
  • Scale: 1/4
  • Trails: On

6. Plate Reverb

  • Decay: 4.0 s (3.0 for smaller rooms, 5.0 for lush ballads)
  • Predelay: 20 ms
  • Low Cut: 150 Hz
  • High Cut: 6.5 kHz
  • Mix: 20–25%
  • Level: 0.0 dB

7. Output

  • XLR Out Level: Mic if into a mixer channel, Line if into line input

Usage Notes

  • Dry Core is for rhythm, fingerstyle, and natural classical tone.
  • Ambient Wet is for intros, interludes, or cinematic swells.
  • Keep Studio Tube Preamp as the foundation; tweak Gain/Treble for tonal changes.
  • For feedback live, add a Parametric EQ before delays/reverbs and notch 200–300 Hz or 800 Hz as needed.
